About the Principal
Principal, Catherine Chukwueke
Following a career in Banking and Accounting in the Health Sector, Mrs. Chukwueke started as a Special Education teacher with the district in 2007 at the former Pyne Poynt Middle School. In 2013, she served as Data Lead for both Dudley and Davis Schools. Thereafter in 2014, she returned to the classroom as a teacher of students with disabilities, while also holding positions as a Math Content lead and District Math Liaison.
In 2018, she was promoted to the position of Lead Educator for H. B. Wilson Family School, where she continued to mentor students, coach teachers, oversee classroom instruction, and other school operations. Mrs. Chukwueke believes that all students can learn and that student success is reflected by positive academic growth, perseverance, curiosity, love for learning, and positive relationships with self and others.
Mrs. Chukwueke holds the following certification; Principal, Special Education, Business -Accounting, Middle School Mathematics, Elementary Teacher, School Business Administration, and School Administrator.
Mrs. Chukwueke enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and tutoring students in her spare time.
