Meet the Leadership Team
Lead Educator, Cynthia Adams-Buffaloe
Ms. Cynthia Adams-Buffaloe has been an Educator/Administrator in the Camden City School
District for 35 years.
Prior to coming to Camden High School Ms. Buffaloe began her distinguished career as a
teacher at Wiggins Elementary School in 1988. In 1992 Ms. Buffaloe served as a teacher at the
Skill Development Center (now ECDC). From 1995 to 1999 served as a teacher at Hatch Middle
School. In 1999 transitioned to Woodrow Wilson High School as a teacher. While at Woodrow
Wilson High School Ms. Buffaloe was Department Chair for the Special Education
Department and in 2008 was promoted to Vice Principal. During the 2021 – 2022 School Year
she began her career as an Administrator/LE of Camden High School.
Ms. Buffaloe provided leadership to the school community in several ways. First, at the
building level as an administrator, she worked with students, parents, teachers, and support
staff to provide a safe environment for all children to learn. Ms. Buffaloe’s responsibilities also
included making time to meet with the building Principal to discuss issues, needs, and
develop an environment centered around the social, emotional, and educational growth of
the students.
Ms. Buffaloe implemented a Renaissance Program during the 2008 – 2009 school year to
recognize and celebrate those 9th grade students that have achieved academic excellence,
are working to improve academically, have demonstrated good citizenship, and have perfect
attendance. The 9th Grade Academy Renaissance Program is Ms. Buffaloe’s initiative to
motivate all students to strive for excellence with a new commitment to their educational
success. She also started the “Freshmen First” newspaper and the 9th Grade Academy Book
Club.
Ms. Buffaloe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Cheyney University, as well
as a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.
Lead Educator, Ariselys Rolon-Cruz
Mrs. Rolon-Cruz is a Lead Educator at Camden High School. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and
raised in North Philadelphia, Mrs. Rolon-Cruz is entering her 21st year as an educator. She
has earned her BA in Secondary Education from LaSalle University and her M.Ed. in
Educational leadership from Cheney University. She has worked both in the public, private
and charter school sectors in PA and NJ. The first eight years of her career Mrs. Rolon-Cruz
has taught the following subjects ranging from middle school to high school: History,
Psychology, English and Spanish. The remaining thirteen years of her career have been in
administration. The roles have included Dean of Students, Instructional Supervisor, Vice
Principal and Lead Educator. In February of 2023, Mrs. Rolon- Cruz joined the Camden City
School District and was appointed as a Lead Educator at Camden High School. Some of her
hobbies include singing, community service and spending time with her husband and two
lovely children.
Dean of Students, Sadiqa Fussell
Sadiqa Fussell is a dedicated educator and community leader, born and raised in the city of Camden. She spent her formative years attending schools within the Camden City School District, where she developed a strong sense of belonging and a passion for education. In June of 2004, she proudly graduated from Camden High School, a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of her journey in education. Driven by her commitment to learning and personal growth, Sadiqa pursued her bachelor's degree at Farleigh Dickinson University, graduating in 2008. She continued her studies and earned her master's degree from the same esteemed university in 2016.
The most profound joy in Sadiqa's life is her son, Jaden, who she lovingly refers to as the center of her universe. As a devoted mother, she prioritizes Jaden's well-being and actively supports him in his busy schedule with sports, cherishing every moment they share together. Outside of her familial duties and professional endeavors, Sadiqa finds fulfillment in giving back to her community. She is deeply passionate about mental health awareness and serves on the board of the DaeLight Foundation, where she actively advocates for initiatives that promote mental wellness and resilience.
Currently, Sadiqa serves as the Dean of Students at her alma mater, Camden High School. In this role, she is dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students, empowering them to achieve their full potential. With a steadfast commitment to leaving a lasting impact on the lives of her students and the broader community, Sadiqa aspires to continue making a difference in Camden as a whole. Through her leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication, she exemplifies the spirit of service and resilience that defines her beloved.
