Meet Our Administration
Principal, Danielle Montague
Ms. Danielle Montague is the principal of the Dr. Henry H. Davis Family School in East Camden. The school was built in 1925 and named after Dr. Henry Hill Davis, a Camden physician who was a member of the school board and Camden’s first medical inspector whose work saved the lives of many young children in Camden. The school serves over 500 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to eighth and provides supportive and challenging academic opportunities for students to grow and learn.
Ms. Montague has been dedicated to students in the Camden City School Disrtict since 1994. She enjoyed working at various schools, in various roles throughout the years – parprofessional, teacher, Operations Manager, Lead Educator and Principal.
Principal Montague earned a bachelor’s of science from Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, a HBCU. She earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University. Ms. Montague is the proud parent of one daughter.
Lead Educator, Cynthia Martinez
Ms. Cynthia Martinez is the Lead Educator for Dr. Henry H. Davis Family School. She joined the Davis Family School administrative team in August of 2023. She enjoys working with the staff, students and their families at Davis Family School. She is honored to have been chosen to help lead the school, which has a high population of Spanish speaking students, by utilizing her
native language.
Ms. Martinez was born in Nicaragua and immigrated to the United States in 1979, helping her relate to the families she now supports. She has been dedicated to the students in the Camden City School District since 1995. She previously worked at various schools as a special education teacher and then as a Lead Educator for Special Education.
Lead Educator Martinez was a recipient of the Camden Scholars program and received a four year scholarship to Moorestown Friends as a student at Veterans Memorial Middle School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey and earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University. Ms.
Martinez is pursuing her Doctoral Degree from Rowan University in Educational Leadership. Ms. Martinez is the proud parent of two daughters and two bonus sons.
