In May of 2022, the Camden City School District proudly inaugurated its first Welcome Center, dedicated to assisting families in the city whose first language is not English or who have immigrated from outside of the United States for educational purposes.

During your visit, you can expect to receive comprehensive support services, including:

1. School Registration: Our staff will guide you through the school enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition for your child.
2. Information about Community Partners and Agencies: We will provide you with valuable information on various community resources and partnerships available to support you and your family.
3. Testing and Placement for Your Child: Our team will assess your child’s academic level and help place them in the appropriate educational program.
4. Family and Community Resources: Take advantage of the numerous resources we offer, such as a monthly food pantry, family workshops, yoga classes, fitness sessions, and much more.

The primary aim of the Welcome Center is to facilitate a seamless integration into the Camden City district schools for immigrant families. We are committed to assisting you throughout the registration process and ensuring that your child is enrolled in a school that aligns with their individual needs and aspirations.
