Non-Resident Tuition Student Application
Tuition Program for Non-Resident Students (grades K-12)
Thank you for your interest in the Camden City School District K-12 Tuition Program. The Camden Public Schools accept qualified non-resident students on a tuition basis in grades Kindergarten through high school, provided that an appropriate program and adequate class space are available.
Please attach the following documentation before returning this application:
- Two Most Recent Report Cards (K-8th)
- Transcript (9-12th grade)
- Individualized Education Plan (IEP) if applicable
- Documentation can be scanned and emailed to nonresident@nullcamden.k12.nj.us

Yes, the application can be found on our school website under the “Students” tab. When the application is completed, the student and their family will have an interview with the school principal.
All grades, as long as seats are available.
Non-resident tuition is 25% of the annual certified tuition rate. As such, it is subject to change each academic year. The Board-approved tuition rates for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

Yes, parents/guardians may submit a request for a reduced tuition amount or a complete waiver of the tuition amount upon a showing of financial hardship.

If the number of applicants exceeds the available number of seats, CCSD will hold a lottery to determine who is accepted.
In grades K-8, students may participate in all athletic activities without restriction. In grades 9-12, students may participate in athletics in accordance with NJSIAA rules and guidelines.
